Pinterest Perfect Accent Walls

Accent walls have changed from the basic one color accent walls of the past! If you’re looking to add a focal point to any room consider some of these options! I would love to see any accent wall ideas you have too! Post them in the comments!

Wood or Wood Look Accent Wall: You can create a wood accent wall easily! My good friend Megan did hers on her own by buying 2×4’s at her local hardware store. She chose to stain the wood a few different colors different colors so that she had more dimension. She then starting placing them on the wall, cutting when needed, and used a staple gun to secure them to the wall. She said she did it all in a single weekend! Not quite ready for using a nail gun yet? My friend Amy found great wall paper at Target that looks so realistic no one will ever know, plus is lets you change things up easily if you ever want a different look in the room. Can you tell which is which in the above pictures?

Chalk Wall: This is an easy way to add an accent wall. Chalkboard paint now comes in all different colors and shades so It doesn’t even have to be black anymore! You can use them as a fun wall in a children’s room they can color on, or as a decorative wall that you can constantly change up depending on your mood!

Half Bath Accent Wall: A great option to spruce up a half bath is to create a focal wall of backspash type tile from floor to ceiling. You can do any tile that you like, just make sure you’ll like to look of it on the whole wall. They even have smart tiles that are adhesive and are easy to install yourself.

Brick Facade: This is an example of a white wash brick facade that adds a subtle touch to this bedroom. I love this as it adds texture as well, but there are wallpaper options as well.

Bathrooms Tiled Floor to Ceiling: Pick out a complementary (not exactly the same) tile and install it floor to ceiling. I love this for a luxurious master bath. It adds a layer of sophistication and also makes the bathroom walls SUPER easy to clean!
